“Kevin is by far the best gunsmith I have ever utilized. He has the best prices and has a sense of urgency in the quality of his workmanship. He understands that some of the items he works on are expensive guns and rifles and he is very careful with his work. Extremely skilled and professional is a good way to describe Kevin and his shop. I drive all the way in from Skokie, IL to have Kevin work on my guns and rifles because I don’t trust anybody else.” – MM
“Done Wright does it Right! Great workmanship, fair prices, and an extremely knowledgeable gunsmith. This is my go to for all firearm related repairs, cleanings, advice and now CERAKOTE! Kevin has yet to turn down a job, if he can’t find a replacement part – he’ll manufacture it.” -IK
“Great work. Good Communication and kept me in the loop. Will gladly use again.” – BH
“Did a great job cutting down my saiga barrel and pinning on a break as well as installing a venom tactical bolt on gas clock sight for a great price.” – NE
“Down to earth guy. Will take time to talk to you. Knows his stuff. Finished my project early. And did a great job. Totally worth a 45 min drive for me. Excellent place.” – JV
“Needed a barrel threaded and these guys did a phenomenal job at a price that didn’t leave me feeling violated. Thanks for the great work. I’ll be back for more.” – DM
“Thank you for a great build. Just came back form the range, I put 200 rounds through it and not a single problem. Flawless performance.” – AM
“Great quality as well as value. Thanks again for awesome fire arm.” – GS
“Kevin did a great job at rebuilding a malfunctioning Waffen Werks AK74 for me. He replaced the receiver, parkerized it and refinished it with KG Gun Kote. Great shiny finish and everything was nice and straight, and at a great price. I took it out and ran 1110 rounds through it over the course of 5 hours and had zero malfunctions. Shot nice and as accurate as I can shoot too. The gun got so hot that the laminate finish of the wood got burned off but the rifle kept firing. Great stuff, he has my continued business and I recommend anyone to go through him for a kit build on an AK.” – KK

Met Kevin some time last year to have grip safety piece worked on for my Colt Commander 1911.....He fixed the issue with no issues and promptly got it back to me. He's dedicated to his field, informative and affordable. Since then all my handguns and rifles are and will be serviced by him and his company.
I have a M1 Garand that was in need of refinishing. I explored gun forums and read great reviews about the superior work Done Wright Gun Repair did on firearms and in particular Garands. I called up Done Wright Gun Repair and spoke to the owner Kevin and arranged a day to drop it off. We spoke about the process and was given date that it would be done. Talking to Kevin at length I realized that he cared about the quality of the job and my satisfaction. Got a call from Kevin, before the projected due date, that my Garand was ready to pick up. When presented with my Garand I was thoroughly satisfied that I had made the right decision to let Kevin at Done Wright Gun Repair perform the work. I highly recommend Done Wright Gun Repair/Kevin to those looking for someone to work on their firearm.
Kevin did outstanding professional job on my rifle and done within time frame that was originally stated. Front sight pinning and barrel threading are perfect!
